Embedding macros in templates

You can embed any personal or system macro when you create a template. Embedding a macro means that when the macro is edited or updated, the changes will cascade to wherever it is used. This eliminates the need to open every template that uses the macro to make changes.

To embed a macro

  1. Open the report you want to use to create the template and click Create from Draft under the Templates panel.

  2. In the Template Editor, click the Embed Macro icon.

  3. Search for the macro you want to use. You can search by name, owner, modality, or body part.

  4. Select the macro you want to use and click Insert.
