Solventum™ Mobile Microphone

The Mobile Microphone app is a mobile application that allows clinicians to dictate using the Solventum™ Fluency Direct™ desktop application without the need for a physical microphone attached to the PC. Once the mobile application is linked one time with a Fluency Direct User ID, the user of the application can dictate using Fluency Direct running on any physical desktop or virtual device without a need for docking, Bluetooth, or physical connections.

Note

Mobile Microphone is available for iOS and Android devices. The images in this guide are iOS, unless otherwise indicated.

Mobile Microphones as personal recording devices

It is important to note that the Mobile Microphone is a smart option to avoid sharing a handheld microphone with someone else.  By downloading the Mobile Microphone app, The Mobile Microphone app allows you to then use your own mobile phone to dictate directly into Fluency Direct and your EHR. In this way you do not need to raise a shared device near your mouth and nose, preventing the spread of illnesses.

The application uses secure data transmission to stream audio from the mobile device directly to Fluency Direct running elsewhere. It builds on the same cloud-based Speech Understanding™ technology powering all Solventum solutions, so existing clinician voice profiles can be used easily and instantly for optimal accuracy.
