Solventum Speech Understanding Toolbar

The Solventum Speech Understanding Toolbar is the toolbar across the bottom of the application that allows you to access the keyboard record dictation, and access additional features through the pop-up menu.

Keyboard / Predictive Text

Press the Keyboard icon to open and close the keyboard for typing.  Predictive text in the keyboard will facilitate your typing experience.

Solventum Speech Understanding Menu

Pressing the menu icon (...), you can access the Speech Understanding menu. From here you can access the following options:

  • What Can I Say? window

  • Send feedback option

  • Share Logs option

  • Access the online help library

What Can I Say?

This option will display your Abbreviations and Custom Commands along with a list of speech commands based on your dictation.  Clicking the information icon will open a new screen displaying additional information about that command.

Clicking on Abbreviations or Commands will open that specific list, as seen below in the right-side image. You can go back to the What Can I Say? list by tapping the blue back arrow at the top left of the window.

Send Feedback

The Send Feedback window is a free form text box that you can enter your issue, comments, or suggestions to send to Solventum Support.

  • Enter your text and press Send to finish. 

  • Press Cancel to close without sending, your text will not be saved.

Share Logs

You can upload a log file to Solventum Support if you are experiencing technical issues. Tap "Share Logs" and your most recent log file will display as a zip file and your iOS will show you the share options available to send the log file.

You can email your log files to our support team, see Support for help on accessing your region specific support email.

Help

This option will open the online help library for documentation on features and functionality.

Microphone Bar

Press the microphone bar to start recording your dictation.  The microphone will display as green, indicating that it is recording. The green bar will indicate your speaking volume as you dictate.

Press the green microphone button to end recording.  Your text will appear as you dictate for editing.
