Using this library

3M HIS libraries have a variety of features to help you find and view the content you need.

Portal home page

The portal home page is the entry point to the library. The elements on this page are intended to give quick access to information in the library. The numbered items in the graphic are discussed in the sections below.

2. Category tiles

Categories provide quick navigation to prioritized information in the library, such as What's New. Libraries may have one category or many. Most of them will have What's New as a minimum. Click on the tile to jump directly to that section of the library.

When you first open the library, the top four category tiles are shown. If there are more categories available, click the Show more... link to display them.

Privacy opt-out

The 3M libraries use cookies to provide the best user experience. To accept or opt-out of these cookies, click Allow cookies or Decline in the message at the bottom of the page.

Note

This message appears on every page of the library until you choose to either allow or decline the cookies.

Library contents

After you click a link that brings you into the "tri-pane" view of the library contents, you can use the following features. The numbered items in the graphic are discussed in the sections below.

To expand the Table of Contents, click the icon again.

4. Provide feedback

You can rate a topic's helpfulness using the buttons at the bottom of the topic. After you click a feedback option, you have the ability to send 3M an email with additional comments, such as suggestions for changes.

Image Magnification

You can make any image in the library bigger by clicking on the image. When you move the cursor over the image, you see it change to a magnifying glass icon.

Increasing the size of an image is particularly helpful with graphics with a lot of information or detail, such as report samples.
